• The illustration is a reproduction of The Scallop and The Clam painted in acrylic by Côme.

• Like all cotton tea towels, in order for it to be perfectly absorbent, it should be soaked for a few hours in cold water before washing it. Following its first wash, your Varek Illustrations tea towel will be your best friend in your kitchen.

The scallop is an iconic shellfish in French cuisine. Every year in April, you can celebrate along all the Breton and Norman coasts the famous Shellfish Festival, a true regional event that marks the end of the scallop fishing season. The clam, for its part, brings joy to Italians with their famous pasta alle vongole, which export quite well to French tables.
