For four generations this family of artisans have been dedicated to the creation of what has been traditionally called “Velas De Concha” or shell candles.

Created from pure beeswax gathered from local farmers around Oaxaca, Mexico, the art of candle making has been handed down to them by their Abuelas (Grandmothers) for several decades.

Sea shells were originally used to patiently create the shapes of these candles, petal by petal, using a different shell to finally finish each masterpiece. Originally made for the Church as an ancestral service in exchange for food the candle artisans of Oaxaca are now gaining international recognition for the beauty that they create with their hands.

The candles and their flowers represent life, abundancy and the universe with nature always being the heart of their inspiration.
