Driven by a deep passion for Africa, its people and its ways, Ashanti Designs is a contemporary celebration of traditional craft.

It is no quick process creating the fabric from which Ashanti products are made. Their signature, colourful fabric originates from t-shirt offcuts, perfectly good material that would otherwise have ended up in landfill.

Working with incredible craftsmen and women in rural villages, the tools and techniques used to create the fabrication has been passed down through many generations, it is both humbling and inspiring.

Woven by hand, its creation is an intricate labour of love. Each item is unique just like the weavers who have created them.
